Cairo: The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, has announced that his country has submitted a request to convene an extraordinary session of the Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent representatives. The session is scheduled to take place this week. It will focus on the policy of confronting the crimes of genocide, Israeli aggression, and settlement expansion that the occupation government recently approved. In a statement issued today, Ambassador Al-Aklouk stated that the request for this meeting is a response to the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people for nine consecutive months, as well as the recent approval of a series of aggressive sanctions by the occupation government against the State of Palestine.
