Paris: Chief Product Officer at Esports World Cup Foundation Faisal Bin Homran said hosting the third edition of the Esports World Cup in Paris marks a continuation of the success of the Saudi initiative and its expansion onto the global stage, stressing that Riyadh will remain the tournament's main headquarters and home.
According to Saudi Press Agency, he made the remarks during a press conference held on Wednesday at H´tel de Ville, attended by officials from the Esports World Cup Foundation and representatives of Saudi clubs competing in the tournament. Bin Homran said relocating the tournament to Paris is part of a strategy established when the project was launched.
He noted that the French capital was chosen for its advanced infrastructure, extensive experience in hosting major international events, and broad fan base, which have helped support the tournament's staging, while maintaining its ties to Saudi Arabia as its country of origin. He added that the tournament will continue to expand over the coming years by hosting events in cities around the world, while Riyadh remains its main headquarters.
Bin Homran also affirmed the foundation's commitment to further developing its Club Partnership Program, enhancing the player experience, strengthening partnerships in live broadcasting and content creation, and continuing to support women's competitions while expanding female participation in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Team Falcons Chairman Musaad Al-Dossary said the diversity of game titles featured is one of the Esports World Cup's defining strengths, noting that adding more titles broadens competitive opportunities for clubs and players alike.
