Jeddah: The first edition of the Syrian Industries "SYRIX" Expo 2026 concluded yesterday at the Jeddah Center for Exhibitions and Events with the participation of more than 160 Syrian companies and factories and a large turnout of businessmen, importers, and distributors interested in commercial and investment opportunities in the Saudi market. According to Saudi Press Agency, the expo focused on facilitating bilateral meetings between Syrian manufacturers and their Saudi business counterparts to establish commercial and investment partnerships in supply and distribution, as well as signing supply and distribution contracts and memoranda of understanding to support the entry of Syrian products into the Saudi market. The agreements covered four main sectors: food, textile, chemical, and engineering industries, in addition to showcasing investment incentives and facilities and regulatory procedures for establishing joint ventures between the two countries. The expo also featured a knowledge program with semi nars and panel discussions on streamlining legal procedures, trade exchange incentives, partnership mechanisms, and the shift from traditional trade exchange to industrial investment and joint production. Participating pavilions covered various sectors, most notably food, textile, engineering, and chemical industries, as well as agriculture, tourism, culture, and labor, reflecting diverse opportunities for economic cooperation between Saudi and Syrian business sectors. The expo served as a platform to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries, explore investment opportunities, and build partnerships that support economic development and shared interests.
