Riyadh: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has issued a reminder to businesses subject to Value-Added Tax (VAT) to ensure their returns are filed by the deadline of July 31, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, businesses with annual supplies exceeding SAR40 million are required to file their tax returns for the month of June. Meanwhile, those whose annual supplies do not exceed SAR40 million need to submit their returns for the second quarter of 2025.
ZATCA has emphasized the importance of timely submission via its official website (zatca.gov.sa) or through its smartphone application. Failure to comply with the deadline may result in late filing penalties ranging from 5% to 25% of the undeclared tax amount.
For further information, businesses are encouraged to reach out to ZATCA through its 24/7 unified call center at 19993, the @Zatca_Care X platform account, via email at [email protected], or through live chat available on its website.
VAT, as an indirect tax, is levied on most goods and services transacted by businesses in the Kingdom, except for certain exemptions.
