Chicago: The Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors concluded its "From Riyadh to the World" initiative in Chicago, led by CEO Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Shubaili and joined by several executives from Saudi government entities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the delegation met with senior leaders from major U.S. companies to discuss the evolving role of internal auditing in the public sector as an effective tool for enhancing performance, ensuring compliance, and safeguarding public resources. Discussions covered the transformation of public governance, the adaptation of internal audit practices to meet the demands of large-scale projects, and the shift toward modern technologies, agile methodologies, and positioning internal auditing as a strategic partner in problem-solving.
Al-Shubaili stated that the initiative aimed to reinforce the value of internal auditing in supporting sustainable development and advancing professional practices. He added that it also served as a platform to showcase the achievements of Saudi Arabia's oversight ecosystem.
The "From Riyadh to the World" initiative seeks to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in the internal auditing profession by sharing successful national experiences and exporting professional knowledge. The Kingdom has undergone significant advances in the regulatory and oversight fields over the past five years.
