Jeddah: The National Company for Agricultural Services has commenced its operations for the 1446 AH Hajj season by issuing livestock import permits to meet local market demand and support the Kingdom's sacrificial animal utilization project. The company is currently receiving and clearing incoming animal shipments after verifying their safety and compliance with approved health standards in accordance with the quarantine procedures manual.
According to Saudi Press Agency, incoming animal and plant shipments are subject to several quarantine measures, including verification of accompanying documents and health certificates, physical inspections, laboratory analysis of samples, and final clearance upon confirmation of full compliance with relevant regulations and conditions.
The company receives shipments at several key quarantine facilities, including Jeddah Islamic Port Quarantine, King Abdulaziz International Airport Quarantine, King Abdullah Port Quarantine in Rabigh, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport Quarantine, Al Khumrah Quarantine, and other supporting locations.
Preparations for the Hajj season are proceeding according to a pre-approved operational plan designed to ensure the effective delivery of services provided by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. The plan includes value-added services such as advance quarantine appointment bookings and fast-track processing options to accelerate procedures and enhance the customer experience.
