Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has launched the Spring Training Forum 2025 in Riyadh. Running from April 10 to 18, the forum will host 230 male and female students from 19 educational administrations across all public school levels.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum is part of Saudi Arabia's preparation for international science competitions, following Mawhiba's training plan. It aims to develop students' skills and qualify them scientifically to represent the nation globally, using advanced materials prepared by experts in various scientific fields. The eight-day event offers 52 hours of training focused on completing the curriculum for each specialization. Participants include 42 students in mathematics, 51 in informatics, 34 in chemistry, 24 in physics, 39 in biology, and 39 in general science.

This forum marks the second stage of the Mawhiba Program for International Olympiads. Students who qualified from the previous Winter Training Forum will now undergo more intensive, focused training. The results will determine their nominations for international competitions in 2025. It also serves as the initial training phase for intermediate-level winners of the Bebras Mawhiba Informatics Competition held in late 2024.

Last year, Saudi teams participating in international science Olympiads secured 119 awards across 25 events, including the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). This brought the Kingdom's total number of awards in such competitions over the years to 854, highlighting the high caliber of Saudi talent and Mawhiba's efforts in their preparation.
