KSGAAL: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), in collaboration with the National Automotive and Vehicles Academy (NAVA) and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, has launched the Dictionary of Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Maintenance. The announcement was made during the Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025, with Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef in attendance.
According to Saudi Press Agency, KSGAAL Secretary-General Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi emphasized that the dictionary aims to bridge the gap between local and international terminology in the electric vehicle sector. This initiative is expected to enhance translation accuracy and facilitate communication between educational and industrial stakeholders. Dr. Al-Washmi highlighted the project as an example of productive collaboration between KSGAAL and national institutions specializing in technology and industry.
The scientific and linguistic development of the dictionary was overseen by NAVA, while KSGAAL focused on reviewing the linguistic content. The dictionary has been published on the Siwar Linguistic Dictionaries Platform. This initiative is part of KSGAAL's ongoing efforts to create specialized dictionaries that support the use of Arabic in significant sectors.
The dictionary features 1,000 terms related to various aspects of electric vehicles, including battery systems, electric motors, smart charging, and maintenance technologies. It provides precise and simplified definitions to ensure accessibility for both specialists and non-specialists. Regular updates are planned to keep the content aligned with the fast-paced advancements in the field of electric vehicle technology.
