Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission Gears Up to Host Fourth Almadinah Book Fair

Riyadh: The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission is preparing to launch the 4th edition of the Almadinah Book Fair, scheduled to run from July 29 to August 4 at the King Salman International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event will feature the participation of over 300 local, regional, and international publishing houses and agencies, spread across more than 200 booths.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Commission CEO Dr. Abdullatif Alwasel affirmed that this year's fair reflects the unwavering support of the Kingdom's leadership for the cultural sector and reinforces the cultural significance of Madinah within the broader Saudi cultural landscape.

He noted that the fair keeps pace with the latest developments in the publishing industry and builds on the success of its three previous editions. It is part of the 'Book Fairs' initiative in Saudi Arabia-one of the commission's strategic programs aimed at empowering the publishing industry, fostering cultural and intellectual awareness, and contributing to economic development and quality of life, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Dr. Alwasel added that the fair promotes cultural exchange, encourages reading, highlights the talents of Saudi authors and writers, and provides an investment-friendly environment that meets international standards. The event has now become an anticipated annual occasion that attracts thousands of visitors eager to explore the latest book releases and publications.

This year's fair will offer a rich and diverse cultural experience reflecting the Kingdom's vibrant cultural movement, catering to the interests of a wide range of visitors. It will showcase a broad selection of new publications across literary, intellectual, and scientific fields, with the participation of several government entities and cultural and community institutions.
