Tehran: Iran is expressing significant doubts about Israel's commitment to maintaining the ceasefire that concluded a recent air conflict between the two nations, according to statements made by Iran's armed forces Chief of Staff during a conversation with Saudi Arabia's Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.
According to TRTworld.com, Iran's Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi communicated these concerns directly to Prince Khalid bin Salman, emphasizing Iran's skepticism. Mousavi stated, "Since we have complete doubts about the enemy's (Israel's) adherence to its commitments, including the ceasefire, we are prepared to give it a strong response if it repeats the aggression."
The conversation between Prince Khalid and Maj. Gen. Mousavi aimed to address regional developments, as reported by local media. This dialogue comes in the wake of Tehran's recent missile and drone strikes on Israel, which resulted in the deaths of at least 29 individuals and injuries to more than 3,400, based on data provided by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
