Diriyah: The Ministry of Culture and the China-Arab Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Research Center have formally signed an executive program to enhance collaboration between Saudi Arabia and China in the cultural sector. This initiative aligns with the 2025 Saudi-Chinese Cultural Year and aims to bolster joint cultural efforts. According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed by Deputy Minister for Research and Cultural Heritage Affairs, Dr. Maha Abdullah Alsenan, and Cheng Wei, Vice President of Beijing International Studies University and a member of the Joint Committee of the China-Arab Research Center for Cultural and Tourism Cooperation. The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Culture's headquarters in Diriyah. The executive program outlines several collaborative efforts, including joint research projects to improve the quality of cultural research and the compilation of cultural content from national archives. Additionally, it will facilitate joint conferences and mutual visits b etween cultural researchers from both nations to address shared cultural issues. The agreement further supports research exchange operations, enabling Saudi researchers to visit Chinese universities and research centers, and vice versa. It also provides access to specialists in cultural fields, supports research fellowship programs, and offers consultative assistance. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Culture's ongoing commitment to fostering international cultural exchange, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. It also serves as a continuation of the 2025 Saudi-Chinese Cultural Year activities, aiming to strengthen the already robust ties between Saudi Arabia and China, particularly in the cultural sphere, which has experienced notable growth recently.
