Bishkek: The Forum for Saudi Universities Alumni from Russia and Central Asia continued holding sessions on its second day with papers presented by academics who are alumni of Saudi universities from Russia and Central Asia. Organized by the Islamic University of Madinah, Taibah University, and the University of Jeddah, the November 19-21 forum is being hosted by Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. According to Saudi Press Agency, today's papers tackled topics such as the role of alumni in highlighting Saudi Arabia's endeavor to serve Islam and Muslims, their contribution to fostering positive relations between Saudi Arabia and their home countries, with examples of successful alumni contributions in this regard. Discussions also centered on promoting teaching and spreading the Arabic language, developing Arabic language curricula in foreign students' home countries, contributing to Arabic language research, participating in the establishment of scientific institutes and colleges, as well as on ways to expan d Arabic language programs in Russia and Central Asia. The papers also highlighted Saudi Arabia's importance and the role of its universities in the Islamic world and for Muslim minorities, including in offering educational programs, seminars, and training courses to raise awareness in communities abroad. The sessions also showcased Saudi Arabia's support for Islamic projects worldwide, initiatives to serve Muslim communities, and role in promoting Muslim culture. They also stressed that alumni seek to expand ties with Muslim societies from different countries, boost awareness about Saudi Arabia's support for Muslims, contribute to projects initiated by the Kingdom to address humanitarian needs, and highlight the Kingdom's role in serving the Muslim world. The event included a seminar on Saudi Arabia's experience in admitting and supporting international students and maintaining connections with them after graduation, and a lecture on the Kingdom's leading role in promoting moderation and combating extremis m.
