SFDA Chief Meets with Counterparts in Brazil.


Brasilia: Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Chief Executive Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey held meetings yesterday in Brasilia with leaders of key international counterpart organizations during his official visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil. Dr. Aljadhey is leading the SFDA delegation to participate in the annual International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) Summit on November 12 and 13.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on strategies to enhance cooperation between the SFDA and counterparts in areas of mutual interest. Dr. Aljadhey emphasized the importance of strengthening international collaboration to ensure the safety of food, drugs, and medical products.

Dr. Aljadhey met with assistant commissioner of China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Dr. Yuan Lin; director-general of the Drug Safety Office at the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) Sang Bong Kim; and chairman of the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board Dr. Ton d
e Boer.

The SFDA chief also visited one of Brazil’s largest pharmaceutical companies, renowned for its advanced solutions in the production and development of human and veterinary medicines. Dr. Aljadhey received a comprehensive tour of the company’s pharmaceutical laboratories and production facilities.

The meetings reflect the SFDA’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with counterparts globally.
