Riyadh: The final round of the Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) starts Wednesday in Riyadh at the tournament arena opposite to the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). The event is organized by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation (SAEF), with 237 horses representing 130 stables from around the world set to compete.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the first day’s program includes six rounds: the first and second rounds are for one-year-old fillies, the third and fourth rounds are for one-year-old colts, and the fifth and sixth rounds are for two-year-old fillies. The championship began last February in Doha, Qatar, and continued through five stages held in the UAE, Oman, France, the Netherlands, and Italy.
The championship features the finest Arabian horse stables from around the world, with Riyadh set as the stage for an intense competition to claim both the Riyadh Tour Champion and Overall Tour Champion titles.
