Sucre: The Saudi informatics team earned three awards-a bronze medal and two certificates of appreciation-at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025), held in Sucre, Bolivia, from July 27 to August 3. The competition brought together 334 students from 86 countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this achievement raises the Kingdom's total at the Olympiad to 11 awards since joining in 2019, including seven bronze medals and four certificates of appreciation, highlighting the steady progress of national talent in computer science and programming.
The IOI is one of the world's most prestigious annual competitions in programming and computer science for high school students. Launched in 1989 in Bulgaria, it features a two-day contest in which participants solve complex algorithmic problems individually, without access to external resources.
