Saudi Talented Students Clinch Three Global Awards at International Informatics Olympiad in Hungary

The Saudi informatics team added three international awards to the nation’s scientific record at the 2023 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) held in Hungary with the participation of 360 male and female students from 90 countries.

Student Hamid Al-Hudhali, an Eastern governorate secondary school student, achieved a bronze medal, and Adeeb Al-Shehri, belonging to the same administrative region and educational level, received a certificate of appreciation, while a similar certificate was awarded to Issa Al-Mousa, a secondary school from Al-Ahsa Education.

Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa, Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba”, confirmed that this brilliance and achievement was achieved with the grace of God Almighty, and then with the support of the wise leadership, to continue the path towards achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and to enhance confidence in Saudi capabilities and energies to compete globally.

The International Informatics Olympiad targets talented high school students in the field of informatics around the world and is held once a year for eight days.
