Riyadh: National Center for Non-Profit Sector (NCNPS) Executive Vice President of the Growth Sector Eng. Abdulmohsen Al-Turki reviewed Saudi Arabia's experience in establishing the center, one of the key outcomes of the Saudi Vision 2030 and a strategic pillar for empowering the sector to achieve deeper impact in national development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Turki's remarks came during a panel discussion titled "Review of Models from GCC Countries in Strengthening Partnerships Between the Non-Profit Sector and Other Sectors," held as part of the third annual International Non-Profit Sector Exhibition (IENA) at the Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City "Misk City" in Riyadh.

Eng. Al-Turki indicated that the establishment of the NCNPS came with direct support from the wise leadership with the aim of raising the non-profit sector's contribution to 5% of gross domestic product (GDP) and enabling civil organizations to grow and achieve sustainability through a flexible, independent organizational structure that enhances governance and improves institutional performance efficiency.

He highlighted several achievements the NCNPS has made over the past three years, including registering more than 4,000 non-profit entities and activating specialized units within over 30 government agencies.

The NCNPS also launched a unified electronic platform for sector services (One-Stop Shop), adopted governance standards based on best practices, and signed strategic agreements with regional and international partners, he said.

He emphasized that the NCNPS' role is not limited to oversight but extends to developing policies and legislation, enabling digital transformation, encouraging social investment, and promoting a culture of volunteerism.

Eng. Al-Turki affirmed that Saudi Arabia's experience has become a global model adaptable at the local level, calling for increased cooperation with friendly countries to exchange expertise and enhance innovative development solutions serving communities.
