Saudi-Dutch Partnership Aims to Enhance Poultry Waste Management and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Under the patronage of Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Almushaiti, Balady Poultry Trading Co. has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dutch Company Nijhuis Saur Industries. The agreement sets the stage for strategic and commercial cooperation focused on sludge treatment and poultry farm waste management.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the collaboration aims to deliver innovative solutions for managing poultry farm waste by enhancing its utilization and converting it into value-added products. The initiative seeks to support mutual interests and promote investment opportunities between the Saudi and Dutch entities.

The agreement also focuses on developing a high-level cooperation strategy to identify shared opportunities, improve resource efficiency, and support initiatives linked to the circular economy and agricultural sustainability. This strategic approach is expected to provide solutions that will enhance the overall productivity of the agricultural sector.

Eng. Almushaiti also witnessed the signing of a framework agreement for technical cooperation and data exchange between the Saudi Agricultural Development Company and Balady Poultry Company. This agreement is designed to support the marketing of organic fertilizers produced through integrated processing and reuse practices, thus contributing to sustainable economic value.

The memorandum further includes the exchange of technical expertise and insights, covering product use and trial results. It also outlines joint coordination on technical visits and related meetings between the two sides, fostering a robust exchange of knowledge and experience.
