Riyadh: The Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 is scheduled to begin tomorrow at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, the event will run from October 2 to 11 and will feature a significant number of participants and activities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the fair will include over 2,000 local and international publishing houses from more than 25 countries. It will serve as a platform for a wide range of authors, thinkers, and intellectuals, enhancing its reputation as a prominent cultural event in the Arab world.
This year's guest of honor is the Republic of Uzbekistan, highlighting the strong relations between the two nations and promoting dialogue and cultural exchange. The fair promises to deliver an extensive cultural program with over 200 events, including a children's zone with activities suited to different age groups.
The business zone is also part of the fair, aiming to support the publishing industry and foster partnerships. It will feature literary agencies, offer services to publishers, and include pavilions for governmental, financial, and entrepreneurial organizations. The zone will additionally host dialogue sessions and workshops focusing on entrepreneurship, copyright, and licensing in the book industry.
