Madinah: The public service camp in Madinah for the Ramadan 1447 AH season, supervised by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association, is carrying out a volunteer and humanitarian mission to serve Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque. The initiative involves 530 scouts, including boys, youth members, leaders, and female scout leaders from various scouting sectors, operating within an integrated working system with government entities and partners.
According to Saudi Press Agency, participants in the camp contribute to implementing several field initiatives, most notably taking part in distributing iftar meals to fasting visitors and Umrah performers in the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque and the central area. These actions reflect the spirit of solidarity and volunteerism that the association seeks to instill in young people and boost the values of giving and generosity during the holy month.
Scouts also provide care for lost children and help reunite them with their families, reassuring families and visitors while reflecting the humanitarian aspect of scouting and the strong sense of responsibility and dedication to serving others among its members.
These efforts come within the educational and volunteer role carried out by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association to develop a sense of responsibility among youth, promote the culture of volunteer work, and encourage teamwork with various entities. This embodies the values of cooperation and humanity that scouting represents, and reflects the great care given by the leadership to serving Umrah performers and visitors and facilitating the performance of their rituals with ease and tranquility.
