According to Saudi Press Agency, a notable feature is the mosque's doors, each of which is uniquely inscribed with the name of the Prophet (peace be upon him), setting them apart. A total of 100 doors are strategically placed across the mosque's expansions, roof, and sides. During the month of Ramadan, a team of 280 staff members manages them around the clock.
Measuring 3 meters in width, 6 meters in height, and over 13 cm thick, these doors, despite their substantial weight of 1.25 tons each, are ingeniously crafted to open and close effortlessly with a single hand, owing to a specialized pulley system.
Crafted from over 1,600 cubic meters of teak wood, each magnificent door boasts more than 1,500 intricately engraved gilded pieces, arranged into a circular frame bearing the Arabic inscription "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah." The doors were intricately assembled without nails, using an ancient interlocking method.
