Kingdom Chairs Meeting on Drafting Arab Cybersecurity Strategy

Riyadh: The Kingdom chaired the first meeting of the Arab team tasked with preparing the Arab Cybersecurity Strategy under the Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers. The meeting brought together representatives from cybersecurity agencies across Arab countries, the General Secretariat of the Council, and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

According to Saudi Press Agency, participants discussed the proposed strategic objectives of the council, which emphasize enhancing Arab cooperation and solidarity in the field of cybersecurity. The meeting also reviewed the methodology for developing the Arab Cybersecurity Strategy, in alignment with the council's mandate as approved by the Arab League at the summit level.

The strategy aims to foster a secure and reliable Arab cyberspace that supports growth and prosperity for all member states. It also seeks to promote cooperation and coordination among Arab countries on cybersecurity issues and to safeguard the interests of League member states in relevant international organizations through unified positions and joint coordination.
