Makkah: Princess Fahda bint Falah Al Hathleen, spouse of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, honored the female winners of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran during the closing ceremony for the women's section. The event, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, took place on Wednesday evening in Makkah under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the holy Quran. This was followed by a recorded address from the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh. He highlighted that the 46th edition of the competition marks a significant milestone with international female participation and a dedicated closing ceremony for female contestants for the first time. The competition continues to receive substantial support and patronage from the leadership.
The minister extended his congratulations to the participants, noting that their true honor lies in embodying the teachings of the Quran in their knowledge, conduct, morals, and behavior. He emphasized the importance of serving as exemplary memorizers of the Quran and ambassadors of goodness for their respective countries.
