Makkah Environment Branch Continues Greening Historic Jeddah with 3,000 Seedlings

Makkah: The Makkah Region Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture's Jeddah branch, has completed the second phase of the Historic Jeddah greening initiative, during which volunteer teams planted around 3,000 seedlings.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative builds on the partnership between the two entities and is part of efforts to expand green spaces, improve the urban landscape at historic sites, and promote environmental sustainability, in line with the targets of the Saudi Green Initiative.

Volunteers actively participated in planting and greening activities, helping promote community involvement in environmental efforts, raise awareness of the importance of preserving and sustaining vegetation cover, and expand green practices at cultural and heritage sites.
