Taif: As part of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, the 300-year-old Al-Jubail Mosque in Taif has been rehabilitated to preserve its authentic Sarawat architecture.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project replaced modern cement with natural granite and durable juniper wood, maintaining the mosque's 310-square-meter footprint and 45-worshipper capacity while honoring the traditional mountainous style of southern Taif.
By using local stone and specialized Saudi heritage experts, the initiative ensures the mosque remains a living testament to the region's religious and social history, aligning with Vision 2030 goals to safeguard the Kingdom's architectural identity for future generations.
