Jeddah: National Center for Meteorology (NCM) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ayman Ghulam met yesterday with Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Jeddah Wang Qimin. The meeting reviewed areas of cooperation in technical and scientific meteorology, ways to enhance partnership in weather monitoring, exchange of meteorological data and information, and development of technical capabilities, in addition to exploring opportunities for exchange visits and expertise sharing.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening the collaboration between the NCM and the Chinese consulate. Both parties expressed interest in deepening their partnership through shared resources and insights in the field of meteorology. The engagement aimed to foster mutual benefits in weather forecasting and climate data analysis.
The meeting also highlighted the possibility of organizing exchange visits between meteorological experts from Saudi Arabia and China. This initiative is expected to facilitate better understanding and integration of advanced meteorological practices and technologies.
