Riyadh: On the occasion of International Youth Day on August 12, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping Saudi Arabia's development and future.
According to Saudi Press Agency, GASTAT data from 2024 showed that Saudis under the age of 35 comprised 69.4% of the total Saudi population. The 15 to 34 age group accounted for 35.9% of the population, with a nearly equal gender distribution of 50.3% male and 49.7% female. When including both Saudis and non-Saudis, individuals under 35 made up 61.4% of the total population.
