National Council for Occupational Safety and Health Wins 2025 Mukaidono Safety Award

Osaka: The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health has received the 2025 Mukaidono Safety Award as international recognition of its pioneering efforts in advancing occupational safety and health systems and practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the award was presented during the Global Initiative for Safety, Health, and Well-being Conference, held in conjunction with Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan. The event was attended by heads and representatives of international and government organizations, as well as senior executives from over 50 countries. Secretary-General Eng. Majed Al-Fuwaiz accepted the award on behalf of the council.

The secretary-general emphasized that this honor reflects the Kingdom's unwavering national commitment to fostering a culture of safety and solidifying its role as an active partner in shaping the future of work and global health security.

This recognition highlights the council's contributions to developing national policies, implementing training and awareness programs, and strengthening international partnerships in the field, all in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of enhancing the appeal of the Saudi labor market by ensuring a safer and more sustainable work environment.

The Mukaidono Safety Award was established by the Safety Associates Council, affiliated with the Institute of Global Safety Promotion. It is considered one of the world's most prestigious awards in the safety sector, granted to leaders and organizations that have made significant contributions and impactful initiatives at the national and international levels in promoting workplace safety, health, and well-being.
