According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed between Tanmiah Food Company, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading food companies, and Brazilian company Vibra Agroindustrial S/A, a specialist in poultry production and processing. The partnership aims to contribute to achieving self-sufficiency in poultry meat and products and enhancing food security in the Kingdom in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
The agreement includes an investment exceeding $150 million, with Vibra investing in Tanmiah’s further processing operations to expand production capacity using locally raised poultry. Additionally, both companies will make a joint investment in primary poultry processing operations in Brazil, enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening their position in the global poultry supply chain.
The ministry explained that in the first phase, Vibra will invest in Tanmiah’s further processing business by building a specialized poultry processing facility to expand poultry production and processing using locally raised chickens. In the second phase, both parties will explore the potential acquisition of assets in a Brazilian poultry processing facility.
The agreement aims to expand processing capabilities for both poultry and beef, improving supply chain efficiency. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen international partnerships in the agri-food sector, enhance the food supply chain, and support food security efforts while increasing self-sufficiency in poultry meat and products in Saudi Arabia.
