General

Makkah: The Holy Makkah Municipality has announced full operational readiness to serve pilgrims during the 1446 Hajj season through a comprehensive plan encompassing municipal, health, field, and emergency support services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, more than 25,000 qualified personnel have been deployed across various sites in Makkah to implement the operational plan and ensure uninterrupted municipal services. This includes round-the-clock field inspections and health support, supported by over 1,460 pieces of equipment and machinery, such as sweepers, suction trucks, pumps, and specialized sanitation vehicles.

To enhance food safety measures, the municipality has strengthened operations with five advanced food laboratories: a central lab, a seasonal lab, and three mobile units. These labs operate continuously to analyze food samples and ensure compliance with safety standards, with immediate corrective actions taken when issues are identified.

These efforts are part of an integrated operational plan developed in coordination with relevant authorities to provide high-quality services and ensure the well-being of pilgrims throughout their journey.
