Al Khokha: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a mosquito control campaign in the Al Khokha District of Yemen's Al Hudaydah Governorate, as part of its Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project. This 18-day initiative is aimed at reducing the prevalence of malaria and viral fever by targeting mosquito breeding areas in residential zones and displacement camps.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign involves fogging operations and community awareness programs, reaching out to 9,243 households to mitigate the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. This comprehensive approach is designed to safeguard the health of both local residents and displaced populations in the region.

Al Hudaydah Deputy Governor Walid al-Qadimi expressed gratitude towards Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for their ongoing efforts in combating disease outbreaks. He emphasized KSrelief's significant contributions to the health sector and its proactive measures in mosquito control.

Additionally, Al Hudaydah Health and Population Office Director Dr. Ali Al-Ahdal praised KSrelief's continuous support, noting that it has significantly alleviated the challenges faced by local communities and displaced individuals.

This initiative is part of a broader series of humanitarian projects spearheaded by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, aimed at enhancing living conditions and curbing the spread of diseases in vulnerable areas around the globe.
