Sakaka: The 4th Khairat Al-Jouf Festival concluded in the city of Sakaka after five days of activities that supported and promoted more than eight agricultural and food products, including grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, figs, olives and their derivatives, processed food products, fish, and various types of vegetables.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival was organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture's branch in Al-Jouf Region, represented by its office in Sakaka, and held at Al-Nakheel Park. It featured the participation of several government entities, agricultural associations, and 30 farmers and productive families.
The event attracted thousands of visitors who toured dedicated pavilions showcasing and selling agricultural products. The festival also included booths from participating entities and a children's stage offering educational and entertainment programs. Additionally, several interactive workshops were held to raise awareness and provide agricultural insights targeting farmers and those interested in agriculture and food production.
Participating farmers and productive families reported strong sales, reflecting the festival's success as an effective marketing platform that contributes to the regional economy and supports agricultural development.
The festival concluded with a recognition ceremony honoring participating entities, farmers, productive families, and media professionals in appreciation of their contributions to the festival's success.
The festival is held annually by the ministry's branch in Al-Jouf, represented by its Sakaka office, with the aim of supporting and empowering farmers, encouraging local product quality, and opening direct marketing channels to help advance the region's agricultural sector.
