Riyadh: A statement was issued by the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) regarding the allegation that the Coalition Forces targeted a gas station in Harib Directorate of Marib Governorate on 03/09/2015.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations to Human Rights in Yemen (NCIAVHR) reported to JIAT during a field visit that Coalition Forces allegedly targeted a gas station in Harib City, Marib Governorate, on the specified date. JIAT conducted a thorough investigation, reviewing air tasking orders, mission schedules, execution procedures, and satellite images alongside International Humanitarian Law provisions.
The JIAT's analysis of satellite images revealed that the gas station in question is located in Harib City, consisting of a canopy, hangar, and building. Their field visit report indicated no damage to the canopy or gas dispensers, but did note traces of damage on the hangar, the cause of which could not be determined, and evidence of firearms shooting on the building.
Further investigation of air missions conducted by Coalition Forces on 03/09/2015 showed no activity over Harib City. Additionally, mission schedules from the day before and after the incident date confirmed that no air missions were carried out in Harib City during that period.
Based on these findings, JIAT concluded that the Coalition Forces did not target the gas station in Harib City as alleged.
