It aims to train thousands of individuals this year, especially in regions starting their journey in AI, and to develop skills in generative AI and machine learning for sustainable development. The initiative aligns with the United Nations' Pact for the Future and the Global Digital Compact.

ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin emphasized the need to allow everyone to acquire the skills necessary to benefit from the AI revolution.
