Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness for Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation, has sent a staggering 36,866,159 text messages to the mobile phones of pilgrims and service providers. These messages, delivered in multiple languages, have been distributed from the start of the Hajj season until the eighth day of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1446 AH as a key part of the ministry's comprehensive Hajj awareness campaign.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the messages provided detailed explanations of the Hajj and Umrah rituals, introduced free phone services and an e-library, and emphasized the importance of adhering to instructions that ensure the safety and security of pilgrims. The secretariat continues to send daily messages aligned with the stages of Hajj, covering essential religious information and rulings that pilgrims need to perform their rituals properly.
