Islamabad: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Pakistan, has begun executing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's Iftar and Gifting Premium Dates Program in Pakistan for the year 1446 AH. According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch event was held at the Religious Attaché headquarters in Islamabad. It was attended by Pakistan's Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki. Ambassador Al-Malki emphasized that the initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for countries globally. He explained that the program will be active throughout the holy month of Ramadan, with plans to distribute an estimated 20 tons of dates to 40,000 beneficiaries. Furthermore, the ambassador highlighted that the Iftar program is set to assist 30,000 individuals. The implementation will be carried out in collaboration with official Islamic institutions and organizations within Pakistan.
