Makkah: Visitors to the Grand Mosque have access to health care around the clock through three emergency centers located within the Grand Mosque. The centers are operated by the Makkah Health Cluster in collaboration with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Haram Emergency Center No. 1 can be found on the first floor of the King Fahd expansion, adjacent to gate 88. Al-Haram Emergency Center No. 3 is situated in the Saudi Portico, Ismail Gate. Al-Haram Emergency Center No. 4 is also located in the Saudi Portico on the first floor, next to Ajyad bridge.

The Grand Mosque area features three prominent health centers dedicated to serving the worshippers and visitors. Ajyad Hospital is equipped with an intensive-care department and a laboratory for essential tests, along with a pharmacy stocked with a full range of medications. Al-Haram Hospital, situated on the north side of Grand Mosque near King Abdullah gate, offers urgent medical services to those in need of care.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority, in collaboration with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, supplies several automated external defibrillators (AEDs) that significantly enhance survival rates in instances of cardiac arrest and respiratory failure by delivering a controlled electric shock to the heart to restore a normal rhythm. Currently, five of these devices are positioned at the main gates of the Grand Mosque, with an additional five located in the third Saudi expansion.
