Riyadh: The General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) has foiled an attempt to smuggle 11,108,998 amphetamine pills concealed within a food shipment at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Eastern Region: Acting in coordination with the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA), the GDNC arrested the individuals involved: a resident of Jordanian nationality and a Saudi citizen.
According to Saudi Press Agency, security authorities are urging the public to report any information concerning drug smuggling or selling by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions. Reports can also be made to the GDNC at 995 or through email at [email protected]. Authorities assure that all reports will be treated with strict confidentiality.
