Ljubljana: Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, and Qatar convened with Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon for significant talks in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions centered on enhancing regional and international security and stability, focusing on the Gaza Strip's situation. The ministers emphasized the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement and implementing its provisions fully. They also highlighted the necessity of delivering adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to the region and discussed efforts to advance the peace plan initiated by US President Donald Trump. The talks aimed to open a political pathway towards establishing an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, following the two-state solution.

The discussions also covered the situation in the occupied West Bank. The ministers stressed the importance of halting illegal unilateral Israeli actions and violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, which are increasing tensions and undermining de-escalation efforts.

The ministers expressed their appreciation for Slovenia's support of Palestinian rights and its recognition of the State of Palestine based on the two-state solution. They also addressed regional developments, explored ways to reduce tensions through dialogue, and discussed efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
