Environment Minister Launches Digital Platform to Enhance Plant and Animal Health Services

Riyadh: Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plants Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa Center) Abdulrahman Alfadley launched the Weqaa beneficiaries platform for individuals and businesses in plant and animal health during his visit to the center's pavilion at the 2025 Saudi Agriculture Exhibition. This initiative promotes digital transformation in the agricultural sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the platform enables users to access services electronically and track request statuses via the center's website. Key services include early detection of the red palm weevil, pest detection and diagnosis, animal immunization appointment booking, livestock site disinfection, and permits for slaughtering, laying hens, and poultry housing.

The Weqaa Center noted that the platform enhances the beneficiary experience by streamlining request processing, improving service efficiency, and providing tailored digital solutions.

This initiative supports the center's digital transformation strategy and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, enhancing government efficiency and service quality while increasing beneficiary satisfaction in the plant and animal health sectors.
