Medina: On the 29th night of Ramadan, worshippers gathered at the Prophet's Mosque to witness the completion of Quran recitation during Taraweeh prayers, in an atmosphere of peace, security, and tranquility.
According to Saudi Press Agency, from early in the day, the mosque's corridors, courtyards, rooftop, and expansions were filled with worshippers and visitors, with rows extending into surrounding streets. Worshippers from across the Kingdom and abroad had come to witness this special night of Quran recitation.
The prayers were led by Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, who prayed for forgiveness and deliverance for all Muslims. He also asked Allah to protect the Kingdom and the wider Muslim world from harm, to maintain security and stability across Muslim nations, and to guide their leaders toward what benefits Islam and Muslims.
The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques, in coordination with relevant authorities, had prepared a comprehensive system of services to ensure the safety and comfort of the mosque's visitors. These measures ensured a well-organized and serene atmosphere for worshippers, in line with the directives of the Kingdom's leadership regarding care for the mosque and its visitors.
The authority coordinated the flow of entry and exit, prepared all prayer areas and main and secondary corridors, and ensured passageways were free of obstacles to facilitate smooth movement.
Additional preparations involved disinfecting the mosque five times a day, including the rooftop and courtyards, fumigating it with incense four times daily, and spreading around 25,000 prayer rugs to create a comfortable and serene environment for worshippers.
