Riyadh: The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has implemented a wide range of inclusive services to ensure a seamless experience for worshippers with disabilities at the Grand Mosque.
According to Saudi Press Agency, key services include fully equipped elevators, copies of the Quran printed in Braille for the visually impaired, sensory tracks, disability-friendly restrooms, and prayer areas outfitted with the latest facilities and technologies. Additionally, the mosque provides hearing devices for individuals with hearing impairments, as well as guidance symbols for the blind.
To further support mobility, the authority has installed ramps and designated lanes for wheelchairs, complemented by clear signage and directional guides. Informational stickers and marked pathways help worshippers easily locate service points designed specifically for people with disabilities. Free manual and electric wheelchairs are also made available to enhance their ease of movement.
