Jeddah: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced the addition of French container and shipping company CMA CGM's new LRX shipping service to Jeddah Islamic Port, boosting the port's global connectivity and operational efficiency.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the LRX service links Jeddah Islamic Port with four key regional and international ports: Syria's Latakia, Trkiye's Iskenderun and Mersin, and Lebanon's Beirut. This service features a handling capacity of up to 2,826 standard containers.
The step supports the Kingdom's efforts to enhance port competitiveness, promote global trade, and achieve the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, positioning Saudi Arabia as a leading global logistics hub.
