Riyadh: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir affirmed that the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum represents a pivotal global platform bringing together more than 100 countries active in the mining sector to discuss shared challenges, diversify opportunities, and build a deeper understanding of global demand for critical minerals. The minister pointed to the growing trend toward cooperation t hrough investment in related industries in countries of origin, particularly in refining and mineral processing, which help preserve local value chains, create jobs, and enhance economic and social stability. He emphasized that this approach supports global interdependence and helps reduce conflicts, as all parties benefit from a system grounded in shared interests. He further stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by virtue of its location between three continents, its access to vital global waterways, its energy reserves and mineral wealth, and its custodianship of the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah, recognizes its responsibility to promote global stability, contribute to conflict reduction, and build effective and influential international partnerships, and is playing an active role in this regard.
