Al-baha: The 17th International Honey Festival in Al-Baha concluded yesterday at Raghadan Forest Park, drawing more than 50,000 visitors and featuring the participation of 34 beekeepers from across the Kingdom. Organized by the regional branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the festival served as a key economic and tourism event, celebrating the rich biodiversity of bees in the region and the high quality of locally produced honey.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival saw significant engagement from both residents and tourists who explored the exhibition grounds and enjoyed a variety of displays and activities. The event recorded impressive commercial success, with more than eight tons of honey sold and total sales surpassing SAR1.5 million. Participating beekeepers showcased a wide array of local honey products, underscoring the diversity and excellence of the region's production.
This year's festival reaffirmed the festival's role in promoting the bee and honey industry as part of the ministry's broader strategy to support rural development, encourage agricultural investment, and enhance the efficiency of local production.
