Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has provided specially equipped prayer areas for people with disabilities and senior worshipers at the Grand Mosque. These spaces have been designed to ensure accessibility and comfort, underscoring the authority's commitment to enhancing the quality of services for all visitors during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the prayer areas are strategically located near the main entrances of the Grand Mosque and are equipped with Zamzam water and copies of the Quran. This creates a supportive environment that allows worshipers to perform their prayers with ease and serenity.
For male worshipers, designated prayer spaces have been established in key locations, including the ground floor opposite Gate 68, the first floor opposite Gate 91, the southern courtyard near Ajyad Bridge, the eastern courtyard, and the Third Saudi Expansion near Gate 123.
Women also have designated prayer areas available in various locations, such as the ground floor near Gate 88, the ground floor in the Al-Shubaikah area near Gate 68, and the southern courtyard near Ajyad Bridge.
