A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck the province of Santiago del Estero, northwest of Argentina, without any human or material losses reported so far.
In a statement, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 575 km.
A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the same region at the beginning of this month without any material damage or injuries.
