Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, known as Istitlaa, has launched a call for public feedback on 39 projects focused on economic and development affairs. Collaborating with 12 government bodies, the NCC has invited the general public, government entities, and the private sector to participate in the consultation process before these projects are approved.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Transport General Authority has introduced two significant projects on the platform. The 'Executive Regulation for Delivery Service Activities' is designed to ensure compliance by service providers with the Road Transport System. Additionally, the 'Executive Regulation for Goods Transport Activities Using Mechanical Bicycles for Commercial Purposes' seeks to enhance efficiency and organize transport activities. Public feedback on the delivery service project is open until July 29, 2025, while comments on the goods transport project will be accepted until August 1, 2025, via the Istitlaa platform.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has put forth a regulatory framework titled 'Agricultural Records Guide.' This initiative aims to provide beneficiaries or agricultural investors with a certification that allows them to access services offered by the ministry and related entities. The public consultation for this project is open until July 29, 2025.

The Saudi Water Authority is also seeking public input on a regulatory framework titled 'Guidelines for Water and Wastewater Service Provisions.' This project intends to clarify the rights and responsibilities of water service providers and customers, with public consultation open until August 1, 2025.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health is inviting feedback on 'Amending the Executive Regulations of the Private Health Institutions System,' which aims to update the requirements for private health facilities. Feedback for this project will be accepted until August 16, 2025.

The introduction of these draft regulations and by-laws through the Istitlaa platform underscores a commitment to enhancing transparency within the legislative environment. Istitlaa promotes a culture of public participation by allowing citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to provide their insights and feedback on proposed regulations affecting the business environment.
