29 Projects Opened for Feedback through the Public Consultation Platform

Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has introduced 29 projects focused on economic and development affairs. In collaboration with 20 government agencies, the center is inviting feedback from the general public, government bodies, and the private sector on these projects prior to their approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, one of the projects presented on the platform is the National Center for Wildlife's initiative titled 'Requirements and Regulations for Investments in Protected Areas.' This project seeks to regulate investment activities in protected areas by establishing a balance between economic resource development and ecosystem conservation. It outlines the necessary regulatory frameworks, procedures, and requirements for offering investment opportunities, concluding contracts, and conducting investment activities. Public feedback for this project is open until September 4, 2026.

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) has initiated the 'Accelerator Program Permit Survey.' This project aims to regulate and develop the mechanism for implementing business accelerator programs by setting regulatory requirements for conducting such programs and requiring prior approval. Public feedback on this project is open until September 6, 2026.

Furthermore, the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development has proposed the 'Fundraising Governance Rules' project to enhance transparency and reliability in fundraising activities and safeguard the rights of beneficiaries and donors. Feedback on this project is open until September 10, 2026.

Additionally, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission has introduced the 'Amendment to the Regulations of the Fees for Telecommunications Services.' This project aims to update the fees associated with the allocation and use of numbers, as well as the fee for number portability services for mobile and fixed services, aligning them with global standards. Public feedback is welcome until September 12, 2026.

The introduction of these draft laws, regulations, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform underscores the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to promoting transparency in the legislative process, fostering a culture of public consultation among the general public, government entities, and the private sector, and engaging them in shaping projects related to the business environment.
