Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, known as Istitlaa, has unveiled 24 projects focused on economic and development affairs. These projects, developed in collaboration with 17 government bodies, are now open for feedback from the general public, government entities, and the private sector, allowing them to express their views before the final approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, one of the key projects open for consultation is the 'Regulatory Framework to Allow Non-Resident Foreign Investors to Invest Directly in Shares Listed on the Main Market,' launched by the Capital Market Authority. This initiative seeks to enable non-resident foreign investors to directly participate in the main market. Feedback on this project is invited until October 31, 2025.

Another significant project is the 'Regulation on the Accession of Accredited Health Institutions to the Network of the Center for National Health Insurance,' proposed by the Center for National Health Insurance. This project aims to establish a regulatory bylaw for accredited institutions that offer healthcare services or related products, with feedback open until October 25, 2025.

The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plants and Animal Diseases is also soliciting public input on its 'Guidelines for the Registration of Biological Control Agents.' This regulatory framework is designed to oversee the regulation, monitoring, and tracking of biological control agents within Saudi Arabia's supply chain. The public consultation for this project is available until October 20, 2025.

Additionally, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has introduced a project titled 'Requirements for Funeral Washing Facilities' on the Istitlaa platform. This project intends to regulate the construction of mortuary buildings in compliance with the Saudi Building Code. Public feedback for this initiative is open until October 13, 2025.

The Istitlaa platform's introduction of these draft regulations and projects underscores a commitment to transparency in the legislative process. It also promotes a culture of public involvement, allowing citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their perspectives on proposed business environment regulations.
